About Jorge F. Galindo, M.A., MFT

For over a decade, Jorge Galindo has offered clinical and forensic therapy and counseling services at Galindo and Associates, Inc. A licensed marriage, family, and child therapist, Jorge Galindo shares the practice with his wife, Dr. Miriam Galindo, a psychologist, licensed social worker. The couple provides valuable help and support for adults, adolescents, families, and at-risk children in the Southern California area.

A specialist in court-referred cases, Jorge Galindo has years of experience working with a wide range of clients including sexual offenders and perpetrators of domestic violence. As a post-graduate intern at the Center for Creative Alternatives, he received special training in diversion therapy, a particular type of treatment method used with such individuals. Prior to and during the first years of Galindo and Associates, he directed a 12-bed residential treatment facility in Santa Ana, California, where he provided individual, group, and family therapy, as well as case management and diagnostic assessment, to adolescent sexual offenders. His previous youth-focused work also includes assessment and treatment for adolescent trauma survivors. Mr. Galindo has an extensive background providing clinical services to the law enforcement community as a clinician with the Health and Human Services Group, which serves, among others, the US Border Patrol and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Additionally, he is experienced in working with referrals from Orange County Superior Court.

Jorge Galindo holds a Bachelor of Psychology from Vanguard University and a Master of Psychology from Trinity College of Graduate Studies. He is completing his doctorate at Alliant International University. As part of his doctoral studies, he interned at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, California, an award-winning inpatient psychiatric hospital which specializes in the treatment of bipolar spectrum disorders.
